Coastal Dune Ecology and Conservation in Bengal ECOLOGY

Dr. Bishnupada Jana is an apprentice to nature and an Ecologist and Taxonomist. He completed his post graduate degree in Botany and Forestry from Vidyasagar University. He is connected to academic profession and has more than 10 years teaching experience on Life Science. He qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2013 and State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) in two times with more than 70% score. He successfully qualified GATE with All India Rank. After qualifying Research Aptitude Test (RAT) of Vidyasagar University, he joined to Ph. D. programme under the supervision of renowned Prof. Dr. Amal Kumar Mondal and Prof. Dr. Debdulal Banerjee. He completed his research work on Coastal Vegetation of East Midnapore district. During research work author published several research paper in National and International journal. Author is especially interested on Sand dune vegetation of West Bengal coastal area. Not only West Bengal author also worked on vegetation of adjacent Ordisha. Mangrove is also an interesting subject to author. So, he published many research papers on mangroves. He has attended several national and international seminar and workshop. For his research work author was trained in PCR technique, molecular techniques used for plant taxonomy. He is also connected to PBR team of West Bengal Biodiversity Board and work with Aninda Kishor Bhumik who was an honorable dignitary of West Bengal Biodiversity Board.
