River of Small Mercies

"This poetry collection is the outcome of a long journey through my professional life, personal reflections, and the many seasons of change I have witnessed. It carries within it the deep impressions left by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the pain, uncertainty, and turmoil that have affected life in Manipur during the ethnic crisis. These experiences have not only shaped my thoughts but also stirred my inner voice, compelling me to put them into words.
At the same time, this book also grows out of another side of my life the quiet, retired days I have spent in solitude, surrounded by nature. In my farmhouse, I have found companionship in birds, flowers, trees, and the living beauty of the natural world. In those still moments, my soul has often spoken to me about both the sorrow and the serenity of life.
These poems are born from that meeting of chaos and calm, of human suffering and natural beauty, of silence and inner speech. I offer them to readers as a reflection of lived experience, heartfelt observation, and the enduring search for meaning."
