"Dr. Aniruddha Biswas works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information
Technology, JIS College of Engineering, Kalyani, West Bengal, India, since April 2012. He
completed his Ph.D. from University of Kalyani in 2025. He has published papers, journals
in reputed conferences. His research interests in Bioinformatics, DBMS, AI-ML etc. He is a
life member of CEGR and ISTE
Dr. Sumit Das is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology at JIS
College of Engineering under the JIS Group. He earned his Ph.D. (ETM) from the University
of Kalyani in 2021. His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and
Soft Computing, especially in healthcare and medical diagnosis. Dr. Das has published over
30 indexed research papers and holds more than 20 patents in his field.
Kallol Acharjee has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information
Technology at JIS College of Engineering since August 2023 and is also a PhD scholar at JIS
University. With over three years of academic and industry experience each, he has published
more than ten research papers and holds over nine patents. His research interests include Soft
Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
Mr. Abhijit Mitra works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and
Engineering, Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science & Technology, Baruipur, West Bengal,
India, having more than nineteen years of teaching experience. He has published papers,
journals in reputed conferences. His research interests in Cryptography and Network
Security, AI-ML, Bioinformatics etc. He is a life member of ISTE and FOSET.
Jit Mondal is a Senior Research Fellow under Professor Angshuman Bagchi in the
Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Kalyani, and Coordinator of the
DBT-sponsored Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) Centre. His research focuses on
Gastro-Intestinal Cancer using advanced computational methods. He qualified
CSIR-UGC-NET in 2022. He completed his M.Sc. in Botany from University of Kalyani in
2016 and earned his B.Sc. from Chakdaha College in 2014.
Ms. Sreekanya Roy is a Senior Research Scholar in the Department of Biochemistry and
Biophysics, University of Kalyani, under the guidance of Professor Angshuman Bagchi and
Dr. Rakhi Dasgupta. She also serves as SAA at the University's DBT-supported
Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF). She completed her M.Sc. in Biophysics in 2021
with distinction and as a university topper. Her research focuses on neurodegenerative disease
models using machine learning and computational biology.
Ms. Swiya Hossain is a research scholar at the University of Kalyani, working under
Professor Angshuman Bagchi in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. She
pursued Master of Science in Botany from the University of Kalyani. She uses plant science
and computational biology in her interdisciplinary research after passing GATE XL and
WBSET in Life Sciences.
Mr. Anirban Nandy is a research scholar in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics
at the University of Kalyani, working under Professor Angshuman Bagchi. He completed his
M.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Kalyani after earning a B.Sc. in Chemistry with
distinction from West Bengal State University. His interdisciplinary research focuses on
machine learning and computational biology"
