Prof. Laitonjam Warjeet Singh did his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, India. He joined the Department of Chemistry, Manipur University, India, as Assistant Professor in the year 1988. He was serving as Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Manipur University since 2006 and retired in the year 2023. He was a Commonwealth Fellow of Association of Commonwealth Universities, London, UK (one year, 1997-1998) and nominated as a Visiting Scientist by the Royal Society, London to visit UK for three months (from 31st January to 5th May 2006). Prof. Singh visited the Department of Chemistry, NEHU, Shillong (twice) from 15-5-1999 to 15-7-1999 and from 01-6-2000 to 15-7-2000; and the Department of Chemistry, Assam University, Silchar from 24-2-2000 to 15-3-2000 as a UGC Visiting Fellow. Visited the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Kolkata as a Visiting Scientist for the Research Collaboration under NER Programme from 14th December 2001 for a period of one month.
