DR. V. BALENDU KRISHNAN
MD (Ayurveda) – Kayachikitsa | Associate Professor | Ayurvedic Physician | Researcher | Author
Dr. V. Balendu Krishnan is an Ayurvedic physician, academician, researcher, and author with a special interest in Kayachikitsa and the deeper principles underlying health and disease.
His academic and research work has explored a range of clinical and conceptual subjects, including Vatarakta and gouty arthritis, Avarana and serum uric acid metabolism, avascular necrosis, uterine fibroids, and Parkinson’s disease. His work reflects a continuing effort to interpret classical Ayurvedic concepts in the context of contemporary clinical challenges.
Beyond clinical medicine, Dr. Krishnan has developed a deep interest in the relationship between Ayurveda, karma, consciousness, reincarnation, Jyotisha, and traditional approaches to healing. This intersection of medicine and philosophy forms the foundation of The Karma Code.
As an author, he seeks neither to romanticize ancient knowledge nor to dismiss it through modern assumptions. His approach is one of curiosity, critical thinking, and respect for evidence—bringing traditional wisdom and contemporary scientific thought into meaningful dialogue.
The Karma Code represents the culmination of this exploration: an attempt to look at disease and healing through a wider lens, while leaving the reader free to examine, question, and interpret the evidence for themselves.
For Dr. Krishnan, medicine is ultimately more than the treatment of disease.
It is the study of the human being.
And sometimes, understanding the human being requires us to look beyond the boundaries of a single lifetime.
