Dr. Hussain Ahmed Laskar, Mrs. Rafiya Begum Laskar
Dr. Hussain Ahmed Laskar is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Economics, currently serving as an Assistant Professor. With over 19 years of teaching experience, he has been dedicated to fostering intellectual growth and encouraging students to explore innovative ideas through research and self-study projects. Dr. Laskar holds a Ph.D. in Economics, with his doctoral research focusing on the role of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Assam’s tea industry over the past decade. His M.Phil. research examined the socio-economic conditions of tea garden workers in Lakhipur, Cachar. Throughout his career, he has contributed extensively to economic literature, with publications in reputed journals on topics such as trade liberalization, FDI, small tea plantations, and the Indian diaspora’s impact on economic development. Additionally, he actively participates in academic coordination roles, serving as a coordinator for PM RUSA and infrastructure learning resource cells, alongside being an assistant coordinator for NAAC and IQAC. Dr. Laskar's commitment to education and research continues to shape economic discourse and policy development in India. He has published 15+ research and review paper and book chapter in reputed nation/international journal and also has attended many national and international conferences/seminar/FDP.
