Dr. Koushik Karmakar is currently working as Assistant Professor & HOD, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata, affiliated to MAKAUT West Bengal. With over two decades of expertise, he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at various levels, including BTech, MTech, MCA, and diploma programs. He received a BTech in CSE from BPPIMT, Kolkata, under the University of Kalyani, in 2003. He also earned an ME in CSE from WBUT in 2005, followed by a PhD in CSE from MAKAUT in 2023. His areas of interest in research and teaching include web technology, Al & ML, sensor networks, and healthcare. He is the author of several research papers published in reputed conferences and journals and book chapters. He worked as the reviewer of several research articles of reputed publishers. He has a number of research scholars pursuing PhDs under him.
Sanghamitra Layek is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, with more than 19 years of teaching experience. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Narula Institute of Technology, where she is actively engaged in teaching, student mentoring, and guiding academic as well as research projects. She completed her M.E. in Biomedical Engineering and B.E. in Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering from Jadavpur University. Her research interests include biomedical engineering, sensors and instrumentation, control systems, embedded systems, and machine learning applications in healthcare and automation. Over the years, she has made notable contributions to the academic community through publications in reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings. She is also a co-author of the book Fundamentals of Sensors and Instrumentation Engineering. In addition to her academic contributions, she has been involved in innovative research activities leading to published patents in areas such as sensor-based systems, smart healthcare devices, and electromagnetic technologies. Her work reflects a strong interest in interdisciplinary engineering solutions to address real-world challenges. With a deep commitment to teaching and continuous learning, Sanghamitra Layek continues to inspire students and contribute significantly to research and technological advancement.
Dr. Bikas Mondal was awarded the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronics Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. He obtained his M.Tech. in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from University of Calcutta and completed his B.Tech. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology. With more than 18 years of teaching experience, he is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Electronics & Computer Science at Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata. He received two research projects under ""The Institution of Engineers (India) R&D Grant-in-Aid Scheme"" during the financial years 2017-18 and 2018-19. Dr. Mondal has published numerous research papers in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include sensor and transducer design, PC-based instrumentation, controller design, MEMS, process modelling, biomedical instrumentation, and IoT applications.
