She holds both her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees from the prestigious J. Yoganandam Chhattisgarh Law College in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. With a decade of active litigation practice focused predominantly on criminal law, she brings a wealth of courtroom experience and practical insight to her academic writing.
Currently, Advocate Dewangan is expanding her scholarly pursuits as a Ph.D. candidate in Law at Kalinga University. Her primary research interests encompass a broad range of critical legal topics, including criminal jurisprudence, constitutional law, human rights, environmental law, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
