In many ways, this book traces the struggles the poet has faced within her journey of poetry, and all that she has conquered out of it; be it compassion, strength, confidence, or the power to let things go. She hopes to take you readers along this journey of hopelessness to hopefulness by realizing that, in layman’s terms, it’s not that deep. As the title "Smaller Than Today" suggests, with time, all problems seem smaller than how crucial it is to live today. It is a perspective that can truly be achieved only when you experience both sides of the coin. It is necessary to feel hurt, sorrowful, and disheartened. Although what’s more important is to not lose hope after that because life is ready to offer you more as long as you are ready to receive. The book begins with cruelty i.e. the cruel nature of life that teaches us what it means to be hurt, in order to feel empathy for others and oneself. When everything feels cruel, everything is crucial. Hence, the second unit is that sense of acceptance. It is to understand the 'why' behind everything and learning to let things go because what defines you truly is your present. The third unit contains a few poems she has penned down in Hindi.
