The author, Dr. Roushan Islam is a well known personality in the academic field. He had brilliant track record all through his academic journey. He stood first class first in Hons. and Masters examination of Kalyani University and received gold medal from honorable Governor of West Bengal in 2010 at the annual convocation of the university for his academic exellence. He qualified Joint CSIR-UGC NET in 2011 and secured AIR 42. He started his research in Kalyani University in 2012. He qualified WBPSC and joined as Assistant Professor in Botany at A.P.C. Roy Govt. College in 2015. He also served Hili Govt. College in 2016 on getting transfer. Later, he qualified WBCSC and joined Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj in the fag end of 2016. He was awarded with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in 2018. Presently, he is acting as an Assistant Professor (Stage-III) in the department of Botany, Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj. He has a total of 25 publications under his belt in reputed national and international journals. Recently, he was awarded with International Best Researcher Award by ISSN in Dec. 2025 for his reserach work on Aloe vera. He is highly dedicated to his profession and teaches his students with utmost passion.
