Group Captain (R) Mike Rana VSM is a postgraduate software engineer from IIT Mumbai who served for 29 years in the Indian Air Force and 12 years in the corporate world (including 8 years at an Israeli company, AMDOCS, in Cyprus). After retirement, he gained multidimensional experience through 3 years of investigative research at the intersection of emerging technologies and traditional military strategy. Mike Rana is now a strategist who operates at the intersection of psychology, technology, and tactical warfare. His military career, once focused on protecting the secrets of war, which was paramount in his mind, has now evolved into passionate advocacy for those who refuse to be pawns in today’s complex battlefield—whether in warfare or corporate struggles. He believes the experience he gained should be shared with other deserving candidates who are currently in the shadows. He specialises in Behavioural AI-based algorithms and defensive infrastructure, eagerly sharing knowledge with individuals and organisations about the hidden dangers lurking in seemingly safe environments. His core belief is simple yet powerful: in a world flooded with information and mental challenges, the greatest danger lies in the illusion of safety and the risk of unidentified intruders. When taken to an extreme, this illusion can even lead to physical or mental harm. With this view, he designed a comprehensive rulebook or a set of doctrines for office politics and military leadership that can be incredibly helpful to readers at all levels, from entry-level employees to top commanders, in both corporate and military settings.
