Dr. Onima Manki received a Master's degree in Geography from Ranchi University, Ranchi, and a Master's degree in Education from Siddhu-Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka. She received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Education from Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi in 2019. She regularly participates in various national and international seminars, conferences and workshops. She has published research and journal articles related to education. In 2023, she was honored with the Best Chairperson Award at an international seminar. In 2021, her first book on tribal and regional language education was published, the second, a compilation of the B.Ed. question bank, and in 2023, a third book on the structure of political science. She also has experience as an assistant coordinator in undergraduate education at IGNOU and as the Head of the Faculty of Education. She currently serves as a Senior Assistant Professor at Women's College, Chaibasa, Kolhan University
