Prof (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina (Retired College Principal, J&K Higher Education Department) was born on 06-01-1962 at Thannamandi, District Rajouri. After passing 10th from Govt. High School Thannamandi and 11th and 12th Classes as private student from J&K board of School Education, he did graduation from Govt. Degree College Rajouri in 1984. He is (P.G., M.Phil, Ph.D) in Mathematics from University of Jammu. He had remained a meritorious student from metric onwards with outstanding performance in mathematics. His Ph.D work published in reputed Journals including International Journal of Fuzzy Mathematics, USA. He is three times PSC qualifies and selected as +2 Lecturer at S.No.01, College Lecturer at S.No.3 and College Principal at S. No. 2 in open merit by J&K PSC. He has served several institutions as Lecturer/Assistant Prof/Associate Professor of Mathematics or Principal. He has more than 250 publications in his credit including research papers, abstracts, innovative articles etc and eight Books. He has participated in about 50 National/International conferences of Mathematics and presented research papers/ talks in them. In addition to it, participated in several other academic conferences. Presently he is life member of Jammu Mathematical Society, Life member of Indian Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, life member of Indian Academy of Mathematics Indoor, life member of Gandhi Global Family etc. He has remained as member/convener of several academic bodies and committees. His performance as teacher, researcher, writer, worker and administrator has been frequently appreciated and he had been also awarded several prestigious awards/honors/certificate of appreciations.
