Dr. B.L. Preethi is the Professor & Head of the Department of Physiology at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College. She completed her MBBS from the prestigious Madras Medical College and MD in Physiology at the renowned M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore in 2006. She also completed a Fellowship in Diabetology in 2001-03 in the Department of Endocrinology at MSRMC. She has 19 years of teaching and research experience, she has conducted many useful student centric teaching methods like PBL, JIGSAW, e learning etc, & She has been rated consistently as the best teacher by her students and peer. She has worked as an investigator & co-investigator in various clinical trials in Diabetology & has undergone training in Good Clinical Practice guidelines at Singapore. Dr. Preethi received her 1st prize for research paper on insulin resistance at the RSSDI conference. She has published in 28 national & international medical journal with 240 citations & has presented research at various conferences. As an RGUHS-recognized MD & PhD guide, she has mentored UG & PG research, including ICMR STS projects. She is a peer reviewer for reputed journals has contributed to various committees & as a HOD and Chariperson she has organized CMEs, & workshops, guest lectures er. Passionate about teaching & research, she has also established AFT lab in the Hospital for patient care. She has also served as UG & PG BOS member of RUAS. She was a college representative of APPI Karnataka chapter. she has shown dedication to excellence in academics and research.
